Due to a glitch with the “Kannada” section of the UGC-NET examinations, the affected candidates will be prevented from rescheduled (Shift-I) technical difficulties in the subject “Kannada” at certain UGC-NET Phase 2 examination centres. Happening on September 20, 21, 22 (Shift-1).

UGC NET Phase 2 Answer Key 2022

Between May and June this year, CBSE offered tests in 84 different subject areas to students in 91 different locations across the United States. Consequently, the National Testing Agency will start the administration of UGC-NET in September this year (NTA).

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has established a set of eligibility requirements for the candidates. The following criteria are used to determine eligibility of a University of Georgia National Electronic Telecommunications Network (UGC) candidate:

Educational Qualifications

  • To be eligible for consideration candidates must have secured at least 55% marks (50%) in post-graduation or equivalent from a recognized university.
  • All the students including their final year students are entitled to appear in the examination. On passing their qualifying examination with the required minimum grade, they will be considered for the award of JRF or Professorship.
  • An additional five percent of the minimum mark requirement is given to PhD holders who have completed their postgraduate examinations before September 19, 1991 (irrespective of the date of declaration of their results).

Age Range

  • For UGC NET Assistant Professorship, there is no upper age limit.
  • For the upcoming exam, the maximum age limit is 31 years as on October 1, 2022. However, the maximum age limit of JRF is still 30 years.
  • However, reserved categories candidates can avail age relaxation as per Government of India norms while applying for NET JRF.
